New PC doesnt start

Motherboard leds, aquaero, power button led light up, but when the power button is pressed, nothing happends.

check if the power button is hooked up to the mobo might've come loose

X299 apex motherboard, yes it is.

Make sure your cmos battery is not dead, Are all cables firmly in place? Double check anyway, Check for leaks,Check your ram is in place properly, same with gpu, try starting it up via the motherboard header (short the 2 power pins with a screw driver) (be very careful though, im not responsible for damage you do with it )

The red dot is the mobo start button.

all connections are plugged in ?  like the cpu power connection ? seen a few people forget that one ::p

at this stage of an air cooled system id just disassemble and rebuild but in your case fuck that hmmmm
try just jumping the on button with a screwdriver or small metal thing 

 

 

if it starts then there was a connection issue between button and mobo , 
if it doesnt start trace all the psu calbles to there sockets and check to see if they are connected correctly both on the mobo and psu (if modular)

also the power button is on on the back of the power supply, some still light up the board via standby even when the switch is off

Was the main parts tested outside of the case ?

try powering it on from the motherboard START button and see what happens, that will remove the need for the button or jumping it all together

as its a supoer high end board

it has all the bells and whistles, please make sure all the swtiches are in there correct postoin in the top right cornor ?

No, brand new pc from a to z. But its pretty high tier components. I know the cpu works because its binned. Also the lights went on when i switched the back of the psu to on so its not that. 

 

One thing im wondering is the power button is lit up, but is it supposed to when the pc isnt on?

Dwell from that pic we cant actually see the connections for the led or the power button as they are behind the HHD and RESET connections

I know just wondering what do you think about the needed orientation? Should the back row text be showing?

can u unplug the HDD+ and HDD- and the RESET switch so we can see the power and power led connections ? or they hard to get to ?

have you tried starting the pc using the "START" button ON the motherboard not the one on the case ?

It works with the mobo start button
