Looking for a $1300 PC Gaming Build

Hi I was wondering if anyone had some PC gaming builds around $1300. I feel that if I use pc partpicker I wont choose correct combinations of parts. Im looking for a build with a 1070 i dont know if I would get a solid build at that price. Any advice will be highly appreciated thank you. From what I hear intel cpus better for gaming? Sorry if im wrong.

You can change some parts here based on personal preference such as mobo, gpu, and case, but the rest should serve you fine.

My misstake, I picked the 7500 instead of the 7600k.

The watercooling would be a bit overkill instead, I did include a copy of wwindows in my link.

If you ware to leave that out, you 'll have enough money for the cpu.

I have a question may sound dumb would a water cooler for cpu be better or the investment wouldn't change much?

It should not be a problem, but if you prefer, you can pick a Z170 mobo instead.

with a 1600 much. Hell a high end air cooler is enough for a r7 cpu. Ryzen is crazy effient. But like the only benefit would be better look and a cpu which max out at 50-60 instead of 65-75. Dont worry about.

So this may sound really stupid in my part so I should leave as it is because the water cooler would just change the peripherals not do a big difference for the added price correct. Im not sure if im being told to switch something.

For just gaming, the 8400 is significantly better than the 1600, even overclocked. And the 1080 is obviously better than the 1070. Though what resolution and framerate will you play at?

Ok, the watercooler wont have a huge added benefit. I rather a better monitor or mouse than a CLCooler.

Ok. The performance improvement shows up when you want more than 150fps. The 1600 will catch up if the ram is overclocked and the timings dropped. The performance gain is not really worth the locked cpu with has no decent upgrade path to it.

Yeah i have to get a better monitor aswell any recommendations the one I have is a asus 1ms 1080p 60hz so i need to upgrade either way the hdmi broke so i have been using dvi to hdmi

We don't know if OP plays at 4K 60 FPS or 1080p 240 FPS. In single threaded and poorly optimised games, the 8400 has a significant advantage. Samsung B-die RAM can't make up all the difference, even if it helps. I'd say that the 8700K is a decent upgrade path, should OP decide to upgrade. Having a locked CPU doesn't matter, the performance does. 

Here, Techspot tested both CPUs with Samsung B-die RAM, the 8400 is way better in games.

Lol i use hdmi to dvi. Old as monitor here lol. I would say something 144hz. If you can afford it get the a g-sync one too.

well true. But hey we have the option. And ryzen is fine till 144. After than I would say stick to intel.

Im looking to get 144hz I currently have asus 1ms 60z but hdmi broken so ima upgrade either way.
