Does my MSI laptop support msata ssd larger than 128GB?

cucurahha

Good Day to all,

i currently using MSI GE60 2QE apache pro laptop and it's currently has a 120 gb msta ssd as it's primary drive.

Now I wanted to upgrade the ssd to a larger capacity drive.

In the storage column in the laptop spec stated that

Quote

Up to 128GB SSD(1 x mSATA)+ 1TB HDD 7200rpm

so i wanted to know whether i can install a ssd larger than 128GB in my laptop

thank you in advance

AFAIK there's nothing that would limit it to just a 128gb SSD, that's probably just the available configuration.

There should be no reason why you cannot install a bigger SSD. Just make sure its an mSATA and not a PCIE SSD

And what you quoted is how they offer the laptop. Not an actual limit because of hardware.
