1080Ti + 3x 2K Monitors - Won't Work :(

I was running 2x 2K monitors and a 1080p monitor and everything was working really well... I swapped out my 1080p for another 2K and now everything is going haywire.  I cannot get 3 monitors on at the same time.  I've tried different wires, swapping the ports around, etc.  Nothing seems to work. 

 

My only guess is that 3x 2K monitors is the absolute max resolution supported by my card so it may have something to do with that? I'm not sure.  One monitor is a 144hz the other are 60hz.  The card says it supports a max resolution of 7680 x 4320 @ 60 hz.  Which is 2560x1440 times three.  I will try setting all the monitors to 60hz and see if it works but I am not holding my breath.

Have you tried uninstalling the Nvidia driver using Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalling the driver?

 

With the DisplayPort 1.4 ports, it should be able to push enough bandwidth to not cause this kind of issue. My brother can run 3 1080p monitors in surround off of a GeForce GTX 960 just fine.

1080p surround for productivity really is not that difficult to get working. gaming at 5760x1080 is a different story though.

 

i currrently have 3 1080p displays on my 1050 just fine. plays old games like gta4 in surround really nicely.

Yep, and the games he plays do not scale well at 5760x1080; as in the game gets skewed out of proportion really badly, which is why he doesn't have Surround turned on at the moment.

I'm not trying to game on triple monitors, just have two of them setup as extras.

EVGA 1080Ti SC2.  2x BenQ GW2756HT, and one Asus PG278QR

The ports are 1.4, but my cables are 1.2 I believe.  I called EVGA tech support, they recommended the same thing (uninstalling any NVIDIA software).  Will have to give it a try.

You can easily run 3 monitors off of that video card, as I set up 3 monitors to run off an AMD 390 with no issue whatsoever.

What happens when you try to get them running? You haven't really explained the issue well.

 

Also, 2k isn't a standard measurement for a monitor, so I'm not entirely sure what resolution you mean when you say it

2k typically refers to 2560x1440

But it shouldn't. No part of that is 2k. 2.5k is more accurate, 1440p is the norm.

I'm not saying it should or shouldn't. i'm saying that's what it refers to. like how 4k refers to 3840x2160p even though there is no 4k measurement anywhere on the screen (although now to confuse matters we're at 4096x2160p as well vs UHD at 3840x2160p)

4096 was the initial 4k display resolution. Hence the 4k moniker. It wasn't released after the more common 3840.
