If I want to slightly overclock the 8700k what cooler should i get?

Budget shouldn't be a problem so don't worry too much about that.

What case are you using? Is liquid cooling something you're comfortable with?

Im planning to use the Corsair Carbide Series 270R, and yes I would be comfortable if it was CLC

The 8700k will be hot af so go with liquid cooling. For the cooler go for either a corsair h100i v2 cooler or the new Kraken 64. Kraken looks 10 times better so yeah.

EVGA's 280mm CLC performs better than both of those.

Case can fit all air coolers. So go with kings? be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3, Noctua D15, Phanteks TC14PE and Cryorig R1 Ultimate.
