CSGO is actually pretty well optimized and id keep the resolution high and settings like shadows low.

100% go IPS/VA in that case for the long haul.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Depends on if your a hardcore gamer and if you notice it. Some people cant but some people can. Really just depends if how competitive you are.

Not really no, it'll still be a solid display for esports.

Or if you're ultra serious about CS:GO, go 1080p 240hz maybe.

Looks like XB241H is your best bet.

It uses the same panel as the PG248Q so theres gamma uniniformity so sometimes colors will look slightly lighter at the top

other than that, it uses a pretty good TN panel, good enough for CS at leaste, and 180HZ OC

You can expect some degradation in quality on 180hz though but ULMB helps with some of that

Well i cant find any panels that are worth the price from that website so either get more money, or find another website.

Or just opt out for any of those korean or not well known panels and do some extensive research before buying so you know what you're getting into..

Is the ASUS MG278Q not good enough for the money?

ASUS MG278Q

It's fine going by this review, but I'd highly recommend IPS/VA for a long term monitor.
