H115i temperatures

Summer is coming, and it brings the temperature paranoia back all over again, lol. I've been searching for these answers but couldn't find anything that could put my mind at ease. Today was a hot day, and while gaming my H115i was running at max 45C. I found a couple of forum posts that said that the max safe temperature for AIOs is around 50C. Should I be worried then? What's the problem here, by the way? Pump, tubes, radiator? Also, keeping the water temperature in mind, is a max of 77C while gaming expected from a 7700k cooled by the H115i? I know it's a hot cpu, and I'm considering delidding, but as computer parts here are generally 3 times or so more expensive, you can see why I'm hesitant, as I really want this build to last for a while.

It'll be alright, the actual temps from the CPU are not directly reflective of the fluid temps, you want to keep the fluid temps below 60C for the pump's sake.

this is correct and I run the 7700k and the h115i also

45C is fine, just set up your fan curves to ramp up when the temps get close to 50C (set the fans based on the water temp, not the CPU temp). I set mine up to be at 45% at 45C, 60% at 48C, and 80% at 50C. This keeps my water temps below 47C under extended stress load.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.
