Does it have a dedicated GPU or Intel iGPU? Maybe is only shows for the latter?

It's dedicated. ATI Firepro M7820 if it matters.

My Acer Aspire 5551 also doesn't have GPU monitoring in task manager, so it's possible that it doesn't work with older GPUs (or at least laptops with dedicated graphics).

I've always hated doing an in place upgrades like these because things change and then the configuration you had before that was working perfectly just does not work anymore. For me, I always tend to just reinstall once the major upgrades come out. I put my games on another SSD to avoid having to re-download. Doesnt take long to reinstall the OS and put everything back, I keep it lite! :)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900XT

MB: ASUS ROG Dark Hero VIII 570S

MEMORY: Corsair Vengence RGB Pro 32GB (8GB x 4) @ 3200Mhz

CASE: Corsair 680x

STORAGE: 256GB M.2(PCIE) EVO 970 | 1TB Curcial M.2 (PCIE) SSD

PSU: Corsair RM850x

I don't know if it'll help others but I did the upgrade on my main rig last weekend. I ran into a BSOD after the initial reboot and Windows reverted back to 1703. So I ran the upgrade again, this time telling it not to download updates. It worked fine after that and continues to work fine.

My laptop did the upgrade, I haven't had any of these issues. I have to admit, this was the only time I've been scared waiting for the update to finish, but no issues. Time to back everything up and continue with life.

I've had my desktop in defer for the longest time.

Probably requires a GPU with WDDM 2.2 or 2.3 to work.

It also seems like they changed the shutdown process by default which is kinda annoying. Their hybrid sleep thingy drained the battery of my laptop twice before I could find out it was actually coming from there. This change of behavior has happened on both my computers, so it is entirely possible it's happening for everyone.
