Help! Can't run virtual machine on H170 board.

Greetings everyone,

So the other day I was trying to run VirtualBox but as soon as I started the virtual machine it crashed and my system restarted. Earlier I was trying to run Nox Player and it showed an error of 'Can't run virtual machine'.

So I configured in the BIOS setting to enable Vt-d in the BIOS features and enable Hyper-v in windows features setting but the problem persists.

I can't figure out what to do. Am I missing something or am I doing something wrong.

My plan is to run Android in the background as I work on my regular applications.

System specification:

i7 6700

Ga-H170-gaming3

16gb

Radeon 7870 2gb.

Keep it simple.

try to set the virtualization method manually in the virtual machine settings.

How do I do that. I checked in VirtualBox, there is no such setting. When I create the VM it is disabled and I can't select it. And when I run it my system reboots.

Keep it simple.

open taskmanager, go to performance, cpu, and check in the bottom right if "virtualization" is enabled.

that's really odd.

install vmware player (it's free) and see what that does.

I agree, very odd indeed. I'll try VMware player then. Can I create an android os in that? Or I just have to check if it works?
