Be Quiet Pure Wings 2 Case Fans 140mm

I will keep this review short and simple.  I don't use a fan controller (I just set it automatically by temperature), so I cannot comment on that aspect.

  • The 140mm version circulates large swaths of air without needing to spin very quickly.
  • They are silent at low to medium loads and still very quiet at maximum load.
  • Excellent in terms of packaging, aesthetics and build quality.
  • No downsides in my experience.

At $10-12 street price, it is at the perfect sweetspot.  Well above stock and generic fans in quality, but also a great product for those who don't want to spend $20 per fan.

I have not tried the Silent Wings, so I can't knock them, but $20 for a fan is expensive.  I wouldn't spend $60 on a trio of fans before buying a large SSD, another stick of RAM and an external hard drive.
