Windows 10 usb installer cannot be read on newly built system.

mrchow19910319

Here is my system spec:

Ryzen 3 1200.

8GB of RAM.

Gigabyte AB350N Wifi.

120GB SSD.

I am able to boot into the bios, so that's good.

But after select boot from:

  • UEFI USB installer
  • USB installer
  • 120GB SSD

I can't get the machine to run the installer. I tried to select 1st and 2nd option. Both of them gave me a "select proper drive to boot" error.

Did I make the installer wrongly? Or I need to change some of the bios's setting?

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

did you make the usb using the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft?

I only have a mac. I created the installer using terminal.

Also just to clarify,  if I choose UEFI sandisk I will be booting into the bios settings straight,.

If I choose sandisk, I will get the error of "reboot and select proper boot drive"

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.
