My First PC

4k i will be fine with a i3?

Resolution is not really cpu based.  It relies more around the gpu memory.

Hope I remember Java HashMaps

// when you type code on an ipad
import Java.util.HashMap;

public class PCPARTS {
  public static HashMap<String, String> ComputerStuff = new HashMap<String, String>();

  public static main(String(), Args){
    ComputerStuff.add("cpu","i7 4790k");
    ComputerStuff.add("gpu","GTX Titan XP");
    ComputerStuff.add("ram","16 GB Corsair LPX DDR3");
    ComputerStuff.add("psu","EVGA Super nova 2 something wattages");
    ComputerStuff.add("mobo","ASUS ROG Maximus Hero VII");
  }

}

but gaming 4k

Yes you could game in 4k on an i3.  The only issue is games themselves could be a bottleneck for the i3 at any res.  Games like GTA V really rely on the higher core count with good speed.  Though you can still game perfectly fine on less cpu based games.

  }

Im not into auto cad but if its under auto desk it might use the i7 well.  Pick what fits your needs.  If you want more money for games, software, etc but dont mind the less performance in cad go with the i5.  If you want pure performance go with the i7.

The VRM is pretty meh, especially for a hungry bastard like 8700K.

K6/Extreme4 have significantly better VRM

Fair enough, its true its not one of the best for overclocking, but for normal op it's more than enough.

The K6 is indeed pretty good for that.

yeah

You don't need to spend that much money, nor do you need an intel CPU for 60hz gaming really, even an R3 1200 OC'd would be fine. Ryzen 5 1600 is just pretty nice overall. Or the lowest end Coffee Lake i3 would be fine as well

Vega 56 + Free-sync display should be pretty solid for the money.

But don't cheap out on your display like you're doing, this one should be pretty solid

The drive you're looking at may be a used 3TB hard drive, not sure.

You should buy a case that actually has airflow as well like the master case 5. Or buy an H500p and mod the front to have mesh if you want 2 200mm RGB fans.

Obviously don't buy 2 4k displays, but check reviews, I would assume they're pretty similar though.

Don't buy OEM windows if you're buying windows, and you don't need to  buy windows anyways, you can install it for free straight from Microsoft's website. You just get a small water mark.

Do not use a USB wireless adapter if you plan to do gaming over it, get a PCI-e adapter, they're like $30-50 for one that has a moveable antenna and wireless AC support.
