It's not called DIMM voltage or something to that effect?

dimm voltage would just be memory voltage, for IMC it's usually CPU VTT which affects the whole uncore though asus call it something else iirc

Question for anyone else with an MSI board since the names for the voltages will probably be the same. What voltage do I change to give the IMC more juice? I really want to get my ram running at 2400mhz.

You'll be looking for something along the lines of CPU VTT, this covers your IMC, just be careful not to push it too high since memory controllers are pretty fragile, if memory serves your max for 24/7 without degradation is around 1.35v but don't quote me on that as I've been out of X58 for a short while now

current rig: Xeon W-3175X at 4.7GHz all core 1.25v and 3200MHz cache, EVGA SR3 Dark, 48gb of tridentZ 4133 Cl19 (A0 PCB) running 4000MHz 16 16 16 34 1T, 6900XT aorus master with an EK waterblock, 1440mm custom loop, corsair HX1500i, 2x256gb 7600P raid 0(boot), 6.4tb samsung PMPM1725 for games and general storage, Lian Li V3000 plus (not super duper happy with this in all honesty), main monitor is a 27" koorui 1440p 240hz thing, and then 3 secondary 1920x1200 60hz panels one left one right and one above

If we add in TR instead of making a standalone thread for AMD HEDT, how confusing will the thread get ?

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooo....... Also IIRC there's quad socket Opteron boards too and I think they're OCable.

@Crunchy Dragon Wanna make an AMD HEDT sister thread? You mentioned you had an HEDT qualifying AMD board? I don't have any AMD HEDT hardware so it'd be weird if I were OP.

If you're a respectable OCer and don't change the uncore on an Intel CPU, you aren't.

It'll help, especially noticeably on X58.
