Either would be around $100 shipped probs. Since that's what I paid for the X58 Classy (well, $107 but it had a CPU with it, I forget if shipping was in there too or not).

that'd be a pretty tidy margin on a board you payed ~50 dollars for... (but also pretty fair considering x58 mobo pricing

Assuming it works, and I'd likely be selling the EVGA since I lust for ASUS BIOS again.

To be entirely fair I don't actually know what the northbridge temps are on my Classy boards, I just know I've never observed a problematic temp on any sensor or had issues because of it.

That's not weird at all. Northbridges are known to get hot (that's why EVGA put the big fuckers on the Classy boards), and most boards have small heatsinks (again that's why EVGA put the big fuckers on theirs) so the temps will fluctuate more and cap out higher.
