"The iPhone 8/8+ dethroned Android's Google Pixel as the best smartphone camera at the moment", according to DxO Mark

That's why my Grandmother gave her old DSLR to me (http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/fujifilm_finepix_s4000_review/), as she wanted to get a newer camera with the same zoom, but without the bulkiness (good optical zoom is the other benefit of not using a phone).

Just so you know, the Fuji S4000 isn't a dSLR :P It's a "dSLR-Style" camera - which basically just means it's bigger and "looks" like a dSLR. It's actually still a point & shoot (Though one with a crazy zoom lens).

Probably still a good camera though. When I used to work for a Photography/camera store, the Fuji S series were usually rather good cameras.

I always laugh so hard at those stupid add-on lenses for phones but I feel like if someone made a genuinely good one that offered a significant amount of zoom (like 10x) it would be popular.  However any of the ones I've seen are such poor glass the whatever you gain in optical zoom is pointless since it's so blurry you may as well have just used digital "zoom"

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

I have seen some good ones somewhere, but it was really expensive...

As they should be.  While I don't actually have hard numbers to back this up, I'd suspect that the majority of the cost of any lens, regardless of size, is manufacturing and R&D, and that very little of the cost is just raw materials, so even though it would be tiny, it wouldn't necessarily be any cheaper.
