Windows 10 bsod's, start menu search not working, not shutting down.

TheElectronicGeek1

Hi, so I reinstalled windows 10 a few months ago to fix some issue that I can't remember. As soon as i reinstalled i was having a problem where if i search for some programs in the start menu i couldn't click them or push enter to open them. One being Notepad, however some other programs open fine. It also won't find some programs or files on the computer. I also have been getting machine_check_exception a lot since having this laptop (MSI GE72 2QF). It happened during a firmware update for my g933 headphones while tf2 was running in the background. Luckily it didn't brick them and they work fine. But anyway i had one of those blue screens the day i was setting up windows and it corrupted the entire OS and i had to reinstall every program all over again. And another problem i'm having with windows is shutting down or restarting doesn't do anything. It just sits at the screen saying shutting down or restarting and i have to force shutdown for it to turn off. I'm pretty sure it's just Windows' fault but my brother has the GE72 2QC and has only had 1 blue screen error that wasn't machine_check_exception.
