Can i run a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti in a Dell t5500

Hello, I have a dell precision 5500 with a Intel xeonE5620

is it possible to get a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti working. I am now running a Nvidia Quadro 4800fx also I am new to this so i don't know much about pc stuff.

Yeah as long as you have 4gb of system ram, this should work just fine.   EDIT: and as long as the power supply is rated for 300w or more

Try using the PSU Tier List!

1. Check PSU wattage

 

2. Check whether the graphics card ask for a 6pin and does the PSU have one.

 

3. Locate PCIe slot

 

4. If the case is a thin one then you will have to use a half height card.

Pretty much as long as the card fits in the case and you have one free PCIe x16 slot, it will work. And what hconverse said as well 4GB System RAM minimum.

you don't need the 4GB of system RAM to run it, but I would say that it would be recommend as less than 4GB with any new OS or programmes will be slow as fuck

yea it should be fine, might want a GPU which has a 6/8pin connector on it though as I am unsure if your PCI-E lanes will be rated to 75W like what the GPU needs but part from that it will work, in theory

I imagine you can as there is a power connector on the top of it, as far as I can see in that image

that would work, even 2 molexes would of done, you will need an adaptor of a 8 pin top 6 pin but yea it'll work just fine
