Is 64gb enough for iPhone storage

Clockwork_princess

If I get the iPhone 8 the 64gb is more affordable.

I'll use it for SC, taking pics, music and webrowsing

I'll probably get Apple music or whatever and cancel my YouTube red so I don't have to buy and download music to my phone.

And I have a question, can you use all your chrome and Google data with iPhone? Like no apps or data will conflict? (I know Google game stuff won't work)

If you want to argue with me, and you probably will please PM me, no need to ruin threads becase you dont like how I am.

Ask me how I made 100k selling illegal narcotics!

and you think im joking, Did a lot of wrong to get my money right.

I could probably fill one up fast. Although, I'm not the average person. Hell, I push 60fps video out of an iPod that can only do so out of slow motion video.

That being said, yeah. OP is definitely fine.

iPhones fill up just as fast as any other phone.....there isn't some magic data hog on iPhones.

I have about 1500 photos on my 6s+ and that takes up about 5GB, two full years of text conversations (with pictures) and that takes up about 3GB, music which takes up about 31GB, and about 150 apps that takes up around 11GB.

If I wanted to fill up 64GB I could just leave my phone recording 4K video for a few hours.

I have like 280 Apps, 8GB of Music, 15GB of movies/anime, and about 15GB of photos/video (but those are in iCloud library so that is irl significantly lower with about 6GB on device.)

Just turn down the video resolution to 1080p when recording video

Yes. However, you can't make Chrome and others to be the default browser.

I leave my 6s Plus on 1080p 60fps but I have used 4K sometimes at like concerts or parks or anywhere nice.

I want to say I have like 40 or so apps (I use all of like six of them regularly), 8GB of music (to be fair, it's a mix of Apple Lossless, 320kbps VBR AAC and MP3 of various bitrates) and something like 12GB of locally stored photos. All on a 32GB iPod touch.

When it comes to recording I record in slow motion because, as I mentioned, it's the only way I can push 60fps video out of my iPod. Makes me really wish that 720p60 was an option for recording. It's very obvious that it can do it but it's never been implemented properly on stock iOS.

I'm on a 12.6 GB iphone and over time I've filled it up several times. I just trim the fat and go from there - not too big of an issue.

Erhm... no. With a couple racing games, some miscellaneous apps, and maybe 2-4GB music (not that much if you listen to a lot), I can easily fill up my 16GB iPhone. 64GB is the sweet spot IMO, if you take a lot of photos or videos (especially with 4K, and the new iPhones even support up to 4K 60fps) and don't offload it to a computer, then 128GB will give you more headroom (also if you download movies or anything, a full length HD movie will easily be 3GB or more).

Well I already pay for prime so I get storage from that. And I use Google drive already.

I don't use it as a backup. I use it as normal storage for pictures. So instead of saving to my camera roll and using phone space I save to drive and I can still share/see the pic and it uses no phone storage

This my opinion on 64GB iPhones. They are great. I had a 64GB 6s and now I just got the 8Plus 64 GB. With all my movies, music, photos, apps, and games I have never gone over 20GB in use. Just take the time to delete or transfer old stuff you don’t need onto a computer. However, I know some girls in my high school that have 6,000+ photos of themselves on their phone. In that case, the 256GB is a requirement. Paying a $1 every month for the 50GB plan of icloud is generally a good idea to.

For me my iPhone 5S 16 GB is plenty to hold all my apps and music, I mostly use it for instagram, but with iCloud you can make 16 GB work.

Clockwork_Princess,

The answer is yes. If you do run into issues you can use services like google photos to upload movies from the device to the cloud and with IOS 11 you can upload right to icloud. The only real issue I can think of is how IOS manages cache data. Good luck.

You will be fine with 64gb as long as you don't record 4K video, high fps video, turn off the live photo, you can also just stream spotify and download a few playlist that you really like. My friend is instagram model and she still rocking iphone 6S plus 16gb today and not planning on upgrading anytime soon. Keep in mind she never use the phone for gaming and all she has on her phone is spotify, social media app, and photos editing app, kept all photos on icloud/ googlephotos/dropbox

hope this help

definitely not enough, thats because iphones dont have sd card slots like many androids do. With the newer androids you can once again move apps over to the SD card along with other stuff not to mention micro SD cards are cheaper than getting a phone with loads of storage.

I've seen some chinese phones have a micro SD card as phone storage rather than internal flash which is a good idea (come on samsung you should be doing this, let the customer use their own storage).
