Why not 7700K? It's on sale as well

1700 will be good for video editing AFAIK, 7700K for gaming only?

Finally got PS4 Pro

I'm still confused between the ryzen 7 1800x or the i7 7700k?

Aren't they in different price groups?

Wouldn't 7800X will be better competitor for 1800X, and also better at productivity than 7700K?

By the way when you are planning to buy?

Would you consider waiting till i7 8700K's release?

7800X is very toasty, eats up lots of power, requires an expensive mobo

R7 1700 is the best all around productivity CPU, 1700X and 1800X not worth it as a 1700 can reach the same performance by overclocking

Consider 6 core i7s too

Thanks.

Get a R5 1600 and get a more powerful GPU like 1080, also make sure you got a decent PSU
