using spare SSD to speed up HDD...?

Ashley MLP Fangirl

so my old computer's power supply blew out, frying the board, and i'm currently in the process of building a new system.

and i thought, can i use the 60GB SSD that was in that rig, to speed up the WD blue HDD i bought for my new pc.

so like automatically copying my most often played games over to it or something. can i do this with software?

I'd do it the other way, i.e. Copy and paste the games to the HDD, install OS to SSD.

You should be able to set up the SSD as a cache without disrupting anything about your install/setup.  I'm always a proponent of manually putting things on the SSD that you nkow you want to be fast, but there's something to be said for being able to add this with no other messing around.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I actually don't know, I've never done it before.
