Looking for a power supply

Recommended Posts

Alright, so, here's the deal. I recently built a rig with a LC power 600w v2.31 power supply. Yesterday, I noticed a very high pitched sound coming from the supply when the PC is off and the PSU is plugged in and turned on. Read online that it could be a sign of its lifespan ending (it was bought a bit more than a month ago -.-) or coil whine. Either way, I plan to return it and get a better one, but preferably for a similar amount of money.

My rig is:

Gigabyte GA B250 - HD3P motherboard

Intel i5 7400 3.00GHz CPU

Zotac GTX 1050 ti 4 GB OC edition GPU

8 gigs of Kingston Fury HyperX DDR4 2400MHz RAM

1 TB WD Purple 7200 RPM 64MB HDD

I plan on adding an optical drive and a wifi card some time soon.

The question is, what power supply do you recommend priced at around 40-50 euros (which I know isn't a lot, but I can't go any higher)?

Thanks! :)

So you think 450 watts is enough for this build? (+ full HD monitor)

monitor have their own power source. 450w is more than enough for a low powered 1050 Ti and ryzen

Yes. You're talking less than 150W for total system power consumption.

The other suggestions are just going to tell you to get a CX450, just BTW. Or, if it's available in the location you're in, the Corsair Vengeance.

So the Corsair CX450 is definitely a good choice? Any difference between the CX450 and CX450M, except from the latter being modular?

no, a good 300W would be more than plenty.

Problem:
There ain't no good 300W at the moment so he had to recommend a 450W...
