Best ways to mount RGB Leds?

Jayliss
Go to solution Solved by mrcharlz,

I'd give a strong recommendation to double sided tape.
1. It won't break as your case changes shape from things like moving or thermal expansion/contraction, unlike most glues.

2. It won't permanently affect the inside of your case, unlike screwed in mounts.

3. It is easy to remove the strip if a section stops working.

4. It's easier to hide if you're putting strips in spots where they will be directly visible.

What are the best ways to mount leads to a desk/monitor? Can I use hot glue or blue tac?

Usually, they should come with adhesive backing. If you plan to keep them there forever, use some Loctite, or other super glue. If either of those aren't an option I'd recommend a decent double-sided (or 3M) tape.

VELCRO STRIPS ^^ works like a charm

hot glue also works but velcro can be removed easier

You can use double-sided tape, glue on magnetic strips to the desk and LED strips, glue the strips to the desk, or get some screwed-in holders for every six inches of LED's.

LOL, I guess I didn't read thoroughly enough. My apologies for not directly answering the OP's question, but all of my points still apply. Just find and replace case with desk/monitor ....and correct for any grammatical/logical errors that pop up.
