Would this be the reset bios/cmos or whatever

No that is not what you are looking for.

Take the laptop drive out of the desktop

reconnect the desktop drive exactly how it was before you touched it at all

try turning it on again

If it still doesn't work then turn it off and then go into the bios and make sure the correct drive is selected to boot.

Have you done these steps?

Make sure everything in the bios and connection is the same before you did any changes.

Boot from windows setup disc and hit startup repair.

This is going to sound really strange but with the desktop set up just how it is supposed to be, unplug the keyboard, mouse, speakers, any usb sticks any anything like that except the screen and turn it on. If it works, turn it off and plug one of the things in and turn it on again, if it works again keep doing that until you find the device that is confusing it

Yes

Once it is powered on turn it off and switch back to the correct drive. Are you 100% sure you didnt get the drives mixed up?

anyway if it still wont work then do what I said earlier and disconnect everything from the outside of the computer but leave the screen

The system should boot just fine to the original drive now that it has booted to the laptop drive. Just power off the system and boot to the original drive with the laptop drive still connected.

Well... idk what to do anymore... i personally don’t think it was the fact that I put the laptop drive in. I think it was just a coincidence as I have been receiving signs it was dying... files would be randomally deleted, videos corrupted, and such. ?
