Intel is planning to release a 2 core i3 for x299, i3-7360X

The specs of this new processor are not overwhelming. It’s only 100 MHz faster than 7350K. The turbo clock is 4.3 GHz. The TDP though, skyrockets to 112W.

According to the leaker, the i3-7360X is 1.25% faster than 7350K. The price of 7360X is expected around 1699 Yuans (220 USD), so it’s not cheap.

I really hope this is fake, because I don't know why Intel would release a dual for for X299. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP.

I was poking fun at Intel releasing Atoms for X299 when they announced i5 but now it is even closer to the reality.

I know a small niche who would get this: competitive overclockers going for highest clock at any cost. Compared to quads, you're not going to stress the power delivery so much, and cooling will be easier too.

Well... yes, but I didn't want to include Ryzen on purpose. Just comparing Intel's stack of products. I "bought" Ryzen 1600 for two of my not techie friends, so it's not that I don't consider it a great deal
