Psu for a fan ???!!

Can I use my desktop Psu to power a desktop fan without using desktop ( fan will be used for something else ) cuz I don't have a 3 pin connector laying around

You could do it with a 3 Pin to Molex adapter

Yes, but your pc will have to be on for the fan to spin unless you plan on disconnecting the 24 pin connector and shorting the power on contacts manually every time you want some air.

That has both a molex and a 3 pin, right where it says "Connector :"

@The321 So your PSU will have Molex connectors coming from it. So you'll need to get an adapter (like this) so you can plug that into a Molex connection and then plug your fan into the 3-pin.

The fan already has a molex connector.

Just do what I did. Get creative and turn it into a USB powered fan, relatively easy, just need some electrical tape & an old USB cable. The only downside it'll be 5v and not 12v and spin at a slower RPM, but works otherwise.

Only at 5v, 12v isn't on unless the PC is on.
