Why does windows not display my file size

Hi guys

Windows doesn't display folder sizes, you can get programs to rectify it though (:

Cool thanks. Its really annoying as a photographer it would be helpful to see how quick a folder has filled up.

If you do this:

 

Rick click on folder > Properties

 

A window will appear and will show you the folder size :)

Windows doesn't do it mainly for performance reasons. You don't want File Explorer stuck there and your HDD under heavy load, as it tries to calculate the folder size of a massive folder with a great number of sub folders and those have sub folders too.
