If your school has a wired connection, buy a ethernet switch, and some ethernet cables instead of wireless.

I would jump to this right away, but I haven't ever bought an Optiplex (though that's the only computer we have at school and there seems to be a thousand of them) but I don't want our club to be hung up by something not working because of its condition and I'm also leary of buying anything used online.

Ok, couldn't you just plug all of them into the wall individually without a switch? We have the plugs everywhere

Note; this is perfect for Esports but you might not have much luck trying to run anything more demanding.
