Bent socket pins on a motherboard can be a HUGE bummer... but can you feel comfortable fixing them yourself?

I dropped my AMD CPU and bent most of the pins. Took me an hour to unbend them with a mechanical pencil and a credit card.

Now that I think about it, I still want a Threadripper system, but I would be scared shitless nonetheless when I go to pull that black cover protecting the 4,094 pins after lifting the caddy holding in the dummy carrier.

 

If you guys want a potential ETA, it's Holiday of December.
