Need new desktop speakers

I need to replace my current Altec Lansing speakers I've had for a while because of contact issues. Are the Logitech Z313's any good? Suggestions?

I got the Logitch Z213, a different model, and would not recommend it. It stopped working after about 3 months of use. I would have to raise the volume very high before one of the speakers actually outputted anything and by then the sound got distorted. It was a different model so that issue may not apply to the Z313s.

I look on kajiji and buy old home theater systems and connect with optical.

You could try Edifier. They make nice, affordable PC speaker sets, like the M1360 - M1380 series. Or if you wanna go overkill: S330/S530/S730. I have a S530D and it blows your socks off.

Z313's are kinda crap, tiny distort easily and the sub is basically just a crappy woofer.

 

Edifier does make some pretty good multimedia speakers, I've been using the R1280T for a while now and they're pretty dam good all around, a little bass heavy but that;s easy enough to attenuate

I got the Logitech Z333 before I saw your responses. It looks like a decent speaker set, but we'll see.
