Updated with poll, because I suck at creating threads/polls.

I disliked losing my reputation count back to 0, aside from that it's pretty fine update, didn't break the UI like Google does to YouTube all the time which is a big plus.

Didn't even notice, well at least my 'thumbs up' to someone won't count as a like at least.

Doesn't seem so, not that I had a need to. I can say the one part that bothered me the most is gone. Previously when it transitioned from top of site to the top of page, the animation could be jarring and delayed if you scrolled fast.

I don't like this at all. I was so used to the older version. It worked a lot better, and seemed to be easier to navigate and reactions worked better.

I don't like it then.

With lower res monitor it's noticable and takes too much space. You have to cram taskbar, bookmarkbar, links line, tabs and now this massive piece of art horizontaly.

I don't care much one way or the other, it's not changed much, at least they added the theme switcher in the menubar now.

Just noticed that there isn't massive 'spacing' where people with no signatures had in the last version. On the flip side, it seems those with fancier signatures have additional space under their signature so balancing?

Your reputation should be back soon, it's a bug, mortis srarted a global recount.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

  1. "x" reacted to ... shouldn't appear on your profile IMO. (It's kinda pointless)
  2. We still can't edit status updates

Besides that, I kinda like the forum the update. :D

There have been a lot of back end changes, but the other significant user-facing changes are the updated reaction system and an improved mobile nav.

Thumbs up has been changed to Like, but they do still count, it's just taking some time for existing reactions to be converted to the new system fully.

Not any more - I ran a survey and the vast majority of users didn't use the pin feature, so it was removed during the nav redesign.

I appreciate that it's not perfect for everybody, but it's only 45 pixels tall (not really massive), and does serve a purpose (it's not just art).

It worked a lot better

In what way? If anything, a large number of bugs should have been fixed.

seemed to be easier to navigate

Again, in what way? The only things to do with navigation that have been changed, off the top of my head, are the nav bar and the mobile nav, and both of those had significant usability/discoverability shortcomings in the old version which have been resolved.

There aren't patch notes because there were a lot of small and back-end changes. The main changes that you will notice are the reputation system changes and the new mobile and desktop navs.

On mobile, posts should now take up no more space than they need to. On desktop, the post container should me the maximum of the height of the post+signature+controls and the height of the user info pane.

Profile pages look way more cluttered, but the forum feels more functional.

AFAIK the only changes to profile pages were the rep box and the addition of an "Ignore user" link when it's not your profile.

It also shows a "x reacted to ..." message every time someone reacts to one of your posts/status updates and every time you react to someone's posts/status updates. It's kind of useless TBH -_-
