Nvidia shield tablet problem.

Hi all, I have an original shield tablet for my son. He was using it yesterday and it would just switch off after a few minutes. I ended up doing a factory reset, So far its working when he plays minecraft and watches youtube. but when he tries to play other games it will turn off with no warning.

I've searched and tried different things but it still persists.

Also its not under warranty anymore.
