Advice for first ever build 1080P gaming pc.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm new to PC building and I am coming from a PS4 console to PC, I have tried to learn by watching Youtube videos but I am struggling to find all the right parts does anyone think the below is any good or can anyone see any mistakes with what I may buy?

CPU - INTEL I5 6600K,

MOBO - ASUS Z170 GAMING PRO

GPU - MSI GTX 1060 GPU OR A 1070

CPU COOLER - COOLER MASTER HYPER 212X

CASE - NZXT S340 BLACK

POWER SUPPLY - UNKNOWN

RAM - UNKNOWN

KEYBOARD - CORSAIR K95 PLATINUM

CURRENT TV - 32INCH SONY BRAVIA KDL-32RD433

CURRENT MOUSE - RAZER DEATH ADDER CHROMA

Does anyone have any advice in regards to this E.G do they work together or would anyone recommend anything different?

Does anyone also recommend a decent 32inch monitor for this build? I'm used to a and do not want to have to get used to a smaller screen even if it is much better.

I mainly just want to game at 1080P i'm not currently bothered about 4K and would rather focus more on high FPS at 1080P or maybe 1440P when/if I get a high end monitor.

My budget is between £800 - £1200 excluding peripherals I will try to buy most things around Christmas time in the hopes I may find better deals.

*I understand the GPU can't use SLI not certian if I would actually need/want two.

Thanks in advance!

Have you considered Ryzen? I think in the i5 range right now, Ryzen 5 is a better value.

Just an example build. The main thing what i'm trying to say is that go with a Ryzen 5 CPU and a B350 motherboard. I5 CPUs aren't worth it.

Good luck getting the RX580 in reasonable time. But if you don't mind waiting, pre-order the £219 Sapphire pulse one from amazon - it's at a very good price.

Otherwise, get a 1070. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-1070-SC-ACX-3-0-Black-Edition-8GB-GDDR5-VR-Ready-Graphics-Card-/132327855431?epid=1582910066&hash=item1ecf5ad547:g:~4sAAOSwtRBZuTsk
