Basically the same thing except Asus has a much better OSD with a joystick. It also has a cooler light up base.

The "issues" are just IPS bleeding which happens on almost all monitors. It also isn't noticeable at all unless it's shifted in hue like a blue bleed.

Doesn't matter which one; they all should come from the same OEM, and sometimes the issues disappear after extended use. According to Bahz, one of the admins over on the Asus ROG Forums, this is what he said:

Yep, always an option, though keep in mind that 2018 starts in about four months from now. Can't guarantee that the first round of high-end monitors will be coming around Q1 2018 due to the chance of being delayed or moved forward ahead of the intended release date.

 

Also the high-end, 4K 16:9 144 Hz HDR and 1440p 21:9 200 Hz HDR monitors are extremely nice. The panel OEM is AU Optronics (Asus ROG SWIFT PG27UQ, Asus ROG SWIFT PG35VQ and Acer Predator X27). The only thing I wished that Asus would make would be an ROG SWIFT PG32UQ (because it is possible to make 32-inch 4K displays if your competitors can do it!)

No shit! That's my thought too when I saw them. I'm not even surprised either with the 2016-2017 monitors these companies are releasing (Asus ROG SWIFT PG348Q ring a bell?).

 

If you want me to recommend you the monitor between the two, I would probably recommend the ROG SWIFT PG279Q. If you can wait, they're coming out with the ROG Strix lineup of monitors which uses AMD FreeSync (Some are nice and should be affordable if you're looking into buying into the ROG lineup). Some people buy high refresh rate monitors without even using the fancy frame syncing technology, and that's fine, though that's a feature left out on the table.

 

Also going back to my suggestion, Asus announced a 31.5-inch (close enough to 32") ROG Strix XG32V. Unfortunately it runs at 1440p 144 Hz. Would have liked to see a 4K 60 Hz model as well, since 31.5 inches is about as perfect as you can get for the 4K resolution on a desktop monitor. IMO 4K on the 27 inch size makes the pixel density way too dense, and requires you to use Windows scaling, and once you get past a certain point of scaling (It's better than older OS's, but not perfect), it becomes messy.

If you want me to recommend you the monitor between the two, I would probably recommend the ROG SWIFT PG279Q. If you can wait, they're coming out with the ROG Strix lineup of monitors.

 

Also going back to my suggestion, Asus announced a 31.5-inch (close enough to 32") ROG Strix XG32V. Unfortunately it runs at 1440p 144 Hz. Would have liked to see a 4K 60 Hz model as well, since 31.5 inches is about as perfect as you can get for the 4K resolution. IMO 4K on the 27 inch size makes the pixel density way too dense, and requires you to use Windows scaling, and once you get past a certain point of scaling (It's better than older OS's, but not perfect), it becomes messy.

Again not sure when in 2018 for the rest of the lineup. As I said, it can come as early as Q1 2018, or as late as Q4 2018. The ROG Strix XG27VQ is out right now at USD $349 over on Amazon, but it is a 1080p 144 Hz VA (Vertical Alignment) panel. The cherry on the top is that it is an 1800R curved monitor, which makes it expensive due to manufacturing and QA tolerances on the OEM's part, but it should provide better immersion due to consistent viewing distances when set up at a proper distance.

All of them will have similar amounts or they could have none at all. It's just how high end  IPS monitors are currently. There are ways they could totally get rid of it as it's a simple fix but takes time and that means money so evryones QC is good but not perfect. 2018 monitors just look too exspensive.

Get the Samsung CHG70 32 inch, it doesn't have gsync but it's bigger and cheaper and is quantom dot with HDR and 144hz and 1ms response time, worth it.

I have the Acer XB271HU and it is amazing.  Early on the Asus ones had a lot of QC problems at the factory (dead insects inside the panel, among other things).  I don't know if they have since corrected those issues.  Quality on my Acer was excellent.  My brother bought the same one and his is excellent as well.

Have gone through 3 of those within the last few months and they're all quite shit, ASUS is just as bad but I haven't had any luck out of 5 monitors. (2 ASUS)

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.
