Is the livestream where Linus complains about people complaining about the hyperloop video also available?
I was only able to watch a couple minutes of it before I had to leave...

Wow I didn't know @LinusTech was born in Ladner, I thought he was born in Surrey. You learn something new everyday, it also means @LinusTech was born very close to Richmond BC, a town that got it's name from another Richmond in North Yorkshire around 13 miles from where I'm from :)

So here's what I was kinda thinking - We stream on YouTube to try to get a boost to the initial viewership of that day's YouTube video.. but we don't really want to clutter up the channel with these streams, so I was kinda thinking after the stream we could upload the archive to Floatplane.

Seem like a good compromise?

They are archived to Floatplane to avoid cluttering up the YouTube channel. They're available to the public, both live and if you have the link to the archive, but they're also uploaded to Floatplane so that users there can watch it.

Youtube subscribers get to see them first and then Floatplane members can stroll through the archives at their own speed. Seems perfectly fair to me. And if I miss the occasional live stream on account of having a life and no paypal account then it's hardly the end of the world. Seriously. While I do enjoy the live streams a lot, it seems a little... I don't wanna say whiny... well, actually, I do kinda wanna say whiny... to complain about people who pay real money to support a project in development actually getting a tiny little something like this archive for their support.

Anyone who tells you that you can't do something is unimaginative and probably a coward.

Surrey is still within Metro Vancouver (which also includes Ladner and Richmond). I actually live in Richmond but I use Vancouver on my profile instead as it's better known (plus I was technically born in Vancouver).
