Well , which cooler do you suggest ? AMP! ? Or Evga ?

In descending order of performance:

  • Lightning
  • Jetstream
  • Phoenix
  • Gaming 6G
  • Matrix

Matrix is to loud at stock but runs cools so you can dial back the fans peed. The ACX is to loud, the AMP so we'll built but takes to much power and is loud. IDK if you could undervolt it do run cool. I would try it if I own one but I don't. Inno3D has built the VRM roaster, Strix is loud and Classified is obnoxiously loud. Source is the German hardware magazine PCGH - PCGames Hardware, volume 2015/9 and 2015/2 or the overview in the back you can seen in all following volumes before the 1080 released.

Both the prices seem absurdly high, you could get something like https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126116&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=gtx_1080_strix-_-14-126-116-_-Product for 550 dollars.

This is only valid for 980 Ti and will be different for every new generations and even single card!!!

Hey guys,

I have a deal on gtx 980 ti for 411 USD used. New gtx 1070 costs 525 USD.

I'm here wondering, which one should i go with ?

(I'm from Czech Republic, so these prices are pretty much normal or slightly less than normal.

get the 980 ti unless youre not overclocking. when overclocked, the 980 ti beats the 1070 significantly. its too bad amd had no competition at the time and nvidia could release a mid range chip as the 1080... imagine the 1060 going neck and neck with a 980ti

13700k, 3070, 32GB@3200
