Mindfactory.de has changed their sales-policy: NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF GERMANY!

I imagine caseking.de should be pretty reasonable. They own overclockers uk althought, I've never looked at prices on mindfactory so don't know how much cheaper they might be.

you could try alternate.de instead.

I tried to register, but I cant find any option for shipping outside of Germany. Can you please help me with this? Their prices are good, and they also sell a lot of other stuff apart from PC-components.

Caseking is quite expensive. Their prices are not that much better than here. And they have such a small supply of components.

So it seems like they have completely abandoned the European market, unless you order as a company/entrepreneur that has a valid VAT ID-number.

Entering your "private"/consumer VAT-ID still won't be enough? They didn't mention that in their email

So if I want to order from them and being outside of Germany, I have to make the order via their helpdesk? Is that right?

If you register yourself as consumer, you don't even get the VAT-ID-section to fill out. Only if you choose entrepreneur. Besides, I have no ide what my VAT ID is...

I just checked my account on there, I'm registered as a consumer and I do have the VAT-ID field in my account options/info

Hmm... Yes, I suppose I could. I've been wanting to check out the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg anyway, and from there it's not really that much further. I could probably combine that somehow, maybe with a few other things, make it a total geek-out trip.

you should definitely check that out!

I had planned to take a detour to do so on the way home from Wacken this year, but had seriously underestimated how tired I'd be by that point.

Anyone who tells you that you can't do something is unimaginative and probably a coward.

as far as i understood you should be able to order to outside of germany but you need to contact the help desk to get the correct shipping cost for the order.

maybe drop them an email and see what they can do, the shop is a very good one with many years of good reputation in germany.

I did just that. THanks for the tip! Their prices are really good, so I hope I will get an account there as well. If it works out, I might write a mini-guide on how to do it for others to learn from too.

Well... Alternate's prices might be marginally better than the Swedish/Finnish prices, but when you start comparing their prices to those of Mindfactory, one sees pretty clearly why it is so sad mindfactory stopped shipping outside of Germany.
