TV for PS4 Gaming, Movies under 1 000$

Hey guys,

 

I am looking to make something like a home theatre. I've got a good 5.1 Surround System, so the sound of the TV speakers doesn't matter.

I don't know how big the difference in input lags is and what does matter, currently playing PS4 on my PC monitor.

Also don't know whats important when buying a big TV.

 

What I am looking for:

 - Maybe low input lags (if it matters)

 - ~50 inch in size

 - 4k worth it? (futureproof?) or is cheaper 1080p better for now (don't have any 4k content atm. and Amazon Prime is just 1080p as far as i know)

 - HDR (does Amazon Instat Video support HDR?)

 - good screen quality (OLED too expensive)

 - SmartTV would be nice (for YouTube, Twitch)

Also if you're playing console i very much doubt input lag will mater considering you'll be playing with a wireless controller

I'm not too sure either, maybe if you look around you might be able to find a good deal on HDR panel?

 

Watch this, i might make the decision for you, also if you're using a PS4 Pro i'm not sure if a 4K HDR TV is needed for 4k

Well, I don't have the PS4 Pro Model, I just have some movies in 4k, but also not that much.

 

Is 4k even worth it? Or am I better off buying 1080p and upgrading in the future when 4k is cheaper and more widespread

 

I don't know how 4k looks on such a big TV

Honestly don't bother with HDR then, at the moment very little content is in HDR, 

 

I'd go for 4K personally, it's growing fast and only coming down in cost, not much point going for 1080p when 4k is only marginally more expensive, 4K all the way!

Never used it, not sure it's available in the UK, usually i don't order anything big outside of the UK

Perosnally for me 4k is worth it for this scree size. 1080P looks very pixelated above even 32"

TV is here and it is great
