Free Email client recommendations for Windows 10?

Basically, my mom uses emails as main form of communication.

She has been using Windows Mail on windows vista for years, (this:)

but she has a new PC and thus needs a new email client.

 

Do you have any recommendations on Email clients that have similar layouts and that will work on Windows 10? Thank you!

Windows 10 has its own mail client I think. Mozilla Thunderbird might also still exist.

Why not just use Gmail

Otherwise I would get Mozilla thunderbird

DO NOT USE THE WINDOWS 10 "MAIL" APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

when i tried it... it ate up 100GB on my SSD because it downloaded every image, and every attachment from any email i ever recieved to be :helpful" and disabling that feature meant that it wouldnt pull email automatically.

 

My personal recommendation for a free client is thunderbird.

Mozilla Thunderbird and Opera Mail are pretty similar to Windows Mail. They both maintain an older design scheme that compares directly with Windows Mail. Alternatively, the native Windows Mail application for Windows 10 functions pretty much the same as Vista Windows Mail with a pretty layout.

windows 10 mail is just terrible. i want a layout somewhat similar to the god tier vista windows mail

I'll give them both a try, thanks

Gmail and most other email providers let you access others from within their sphere. eg I use it for yahoo, as I don't like yahoos interface anyway. Also does she use phone for emails too, if so might be better to stick with one like gmail that will sync the mail. Give them all a shot, you're not losing anything by trying them, they don't cost anything and she might prefer one of them, you never know.

I like outlook because rules... and Visual basic scripting/macros.  the Gmail interface is fantastic tho.

My mother and I just spent about an hour configuring thunderbird to her needs, and she likes it. Thanks guys
