I am the kind of mac user that dreads touching my father's ancient 2gb ram mac mini, because it just really doesn't run. But in the case of Win10 multiple desktop, I typically only have the one open, sometimes 2.

I've never used multi window function on windows 10. 

Gesture on mac is more convenient...

Second hand mac mini my friend. 

Get your self the 2012 mac mini. And upgrade the ram and HDD to 16GB and a SSD. 

 

That's how I got into using mac. 

My 1st windows pc was crap too.....

The other day I heard someone said on the apple subreddit that a lot of the old school macusers, will prefer this way, while new comers (have been using macOS for less than 3 years) will prefer the 1000 desktop way.

I don't use Mac (another KDE Plasma user), but I think I'd be somewhere between the two. I use 3 Activities (Default, Work, Fun) to sort programs and 2 virtual desktops to lay them out.

why not??? I've often have 4 chrome window with 10-20 tabs on each of them.
