Gigabyte GA-H270N-Wifi Won't Boot to NVMe M.2 SSD

AnonGamer

I'll try to be short.

I had an HDD in my ITX HTPC build.  I cloned that HDD to an NVMe M.2 SSD using some software.  I went into my BIOS, ensured ACHI and CSM were enabled, set my M.2 SSD as my boot drive AND...nothing.  If I disable the HDD as a boot disk it simple prompts me to install a boot disk immediately after startup.  The M.2. NVMe SSD is connected to the motherboard via a PCIe adapter.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Does it show up after booting?

if not, then something is wrong with the way it's installed most likely.

Yes.  I can see the drive in disk manager.  I can even access the files on it.

Did you find a solution? What caused the problem? The enabled CSM? Or the inproper cloning (disk ID or something)? Or something else?

I plan to buy a GA-H270N-Wifi, but i want to use it with a single NVMe M.2 SSD, nothing else, so i would like to know if it is possible and what settings should i use.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.
