What is your opinion about LTT's new style?

Since late last year LTT started changing the tone of their videos from kind of serious but lighthearted to complete memefest, dickbutts and all.

It makes me mad/disappointed, because I am no longer looking forward to their new videos, I'd rather watch Gamers Nexus or Hardware Unboxed for my fill on tech reviews and information intead of LInus Tech Tips.

Basically, I just want to know what you guys think about this.

memefest is better

people who take a clinical cold tone in their videos end up not capturing peoples interests or really keeping their interest.

thats why rodney reynolds disappeared (wow what a reference that was) , videos were boring and cold and clinical and flat out just not interesting to watch at all

Plus when it comes to pc gamers , we never were exactly an upstanding culture to begin with

Linus was never clinical and cold, he's a very entertaining on camera personality and always has been.

I'm not really sure how that relates to anything if I am completely honest.

op's complaining as if their new style is somehow beneath us , like as if the internet isn't responsible for how they shoot/edit/and market their videos.

they do it this way becuase that's what the math and money says we want.

Do you watch the entirety of gamers nexuses videos? He is quite good at the detail but for me is such an uninteresting person to watch and listen too.

Kinda agree about LTT as you can tell they are quite uniformed when watching the WAN show.

I watch the GN videos that are about stuff that interests me, like their GPU teardowns.

The stupid 'memefest' jokes are beneath me, they make me cringe and I don't find it funny but I'm not saying they should change it.

The internet is obviously responsible for how they make their videos but me, the op and others aren't the internet so our opinions may differ from the general consensus.

I starting watching Linus as he presented quality information in a concise and entertaining manner with a polish and panache not offered by the typical tech tubers.

He has a family a business to run and he has to travel a lot for work, let him have as much fun as possible doing his videos imo.

As for gamer's nexus, they are a wealth of knowledge but also pretty dull, so a video a day from each is nothing to complain about.

Kinda wished they did more of the Linus Walks stuff.

Because I can really tell that many people like that sort of video, especially with Linus walking in the rain on the streets of Taipei while talking about his concerns with X299 and then doing the same at a zoo but about the current iPad Pro and its 120Hz display

Pretty immature, sometimes wish they would go back to the older style. As they have said though, if it rakes in more views and money, it is likely to stay. I hope they dont trade off too many of their older, more loyal subs for those who will just watch a few videos and and never return.

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

I personally liked the older format better, this new editing and presentation style is far too childish for my liking, its cringy, meme and sexual innuendo filled content.

I tell you something, they could learn a million things from Level1Techs, MKBHD and Tech YES City (if they wish to keep the spirits up, but appear sane while doing so), i just hope they do.

For anyone looking for information, even half asses information, LTT is not viable anymore. Their big projects now revolve on the expense for the wow factor, and not for something unique. And quite frankly, I find both Luke and Linus unenjoyable to watch in 99% of the new content.

To me, LTT is dead.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.
