51% increase on multi-core performance?

Dayum....

If you increase your core count 50% why would you not expect your multi-core performance to increase by 51%?

Only one was that 8500U, I need news about them mobile HQ.

Yeah, all I could find on mobile news for 8th generation is this video:

However, I think some of the earlier news regarding Coffee Lake was about mobile processors.

Revenge... when AMD caught em off guard with Ryzen and whatnot. The whole naming scheme and Intel is just a mess in general right now. I'm still waiting for the 7980XE to see what'll happen.

What do you mean "see what'll happen" The 16c intel chip already whoops threadripper around lol.  Obviously it costs more and the price to performance is worse, but you get what ya pay for.

The 6 core 12 thread chip @$400, even though faster, is going to have a really tough time "competing" with the very aggressively priced 6 core 12 thread 1600 chip @$200... I mean seriously, for %50 more dough, it better be %50 faster than the 1600.

But to professionals, is a little less performance (were talking seconds in video editing, maybe a minute or two with larger exports) worth the hundreds of more dollars? Not to mention that's hundreds more just for the CPU, not including the well Intel taxed motherboards...

I checked a couple of Canadian shops and 7700k was $480. ( http://m.bestbuy.ca/defaultpage.aspx?lang=en#/catalog/productdetails.aspx?ajax=true&lang=en-ca&pcname=&sku=11184060 )

So that would imply the 8700k is the same price as the 7700k ($5 more).

Difference in price is probably just Canada tax companies charge for the extra work of exporting.

$500 Cad

So like, a 1700 is only $350

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.
