My first build

I am planning to build my very first pc. I am planning to use it for gaming at 1080p.

Parts list:

 

-ryzen 1600

-stock cooler

-gigabyte ab350-gaming 3 motherboard

-gtx 1060

-8gb ddr4 ram

-2tb hard drive

-240gb ssd

-500 watt psu

 

I am saving up money now to purchase parts. I have already bought the mobo, but have not bought anything else so far. I plan to buy what I can used to lower the price of the build.

Easier to find a gtx 1060 for a better price.

I am going to buy the rx 580 used for around $300.00. My planned budget is about $800 not including the mobo as I have already got it.

Not a terrible choice. Just depends what board partner's card he gets. If availability is really an issue he could grab a 1060. A little less performance, but more bang-for-buck.

for $300 used, unless you have a freesync monitor just get a 1060 6gb. it's only $270 for a new one and the performance is around the same.

The rx580 is currently the easiest to find at a good used price right now, way easier than even finding a 1060.

The graphics card really depends on what the best deal that I can get when searching. Rx 580 or a gtx 1060 seem like possible choices.

I am not absoloutly sure, but a semi modular 500 watt psu is what I am planning on getting.

I would say 1060 unless you're looking at the 3gb 1060 or the 980 is noticeably cheaper.
