Look like GTX 295s. The power connectors are whack because the card has 2 sandwiched PCBs.

3DFX came up with SLI. Nvidia bought Voodoo so they got the right to use it. Voodoo SLI and Nvidia's SLI are two different acronyms, but both are the same idea. Voodoo SLI stands for Scan-Line Interleave and Nvidia SLI stands for Scalable Link Interface

Quantum Technology barely exists. Quantum Computers themselves barely exist. They cost billions of dollars to make. I doubt even Bill Gates can afford one.

DWave's 2000Q is $15,000,000. Bill Gates has a net worth of roughly $83,900,000,000, and he makes around $11,000,000/day. He can afford quite a few of them.

Off topic but … I doubt your friend has any idea of what he's talking about. It is still heavily debated if D-Wave's so called quantum computer actually is what it is marketed as. It is not a quantum computer in the "common definition" that works with quantum entanglement but rather with quantum annealing – as claimed by the company. There's is no proof of their system actually using quantum effects and there's still a lack on information if those systems are actually any better in certain applications compared to conventional binary computers. 

But even if it was the real deal: no common software would run on it. Software is developed and compiled for specific CPU architectures. The most common one in general purpose computers is good old x86 and the today more relevant x86-64 architecture. That's the kind of CPU in your PC. Those are CISC/RISC "hybrids". There are other architectures that are not interchangable, usually pure RISC ones like in a lot of mobile/embedded devices or game consoles. You couldn't run a program compiled for like PowerPC RISC CPUs on a x86 CPU without other software. Yet all those architectures are still based on binary operations. Why binary? Because it is an easy to implement logic with just two states: 0 and 1, signal on and signal off (or more precise signal low and signal high). Quantum computers rely on an entirely different logic as they have states in between. Common algorithms will not work on those kind of systems. Therefore you can't do mining on them unless you're a highly trained physicists and computer engineer who is able to write your own programs on a quantum computer – that doesn't really exist yet. 

 

Back to the beginning: your friend has absolutely no idea what he's talking about and it's unlikely that he'll be able to setup a mining rig properly.
