So wouldn't the rest be glue?

No. Its very easy to get into a MacBook and for the case of replacing the thermal paste its very easy.

Heat it up? Also the tear down doesn't say anything about glue holding in the logic board.

Why would you care? its on the inside.

And again I don't see where the teardown says anything about glue holding in the logic board. The glue is for the battery.....

i am an engineer, also i got inside of my last 2013 MacBook pro to replace the thermal paste, get a bigger SSD,  overall clean it and admire the design.

things like the speakers use glue, not the MOBO it self but it doesn't excuse the fact the machine is poorly cooled and overall focus more on looks than performance("pro"), also everything is proprietary.

Honestly don't see the problem with that. Its not like people are forced to buy them.

yeah once a company cares about the looks of a computer rather than the functionality you are basically buying an overpriced centerpiece.

cant say anything but that the specs are nice. I would have to see a review to see how the thermals and other performance metrics are. I know some people who had acer predators computers and they generally had only good things to say so I would say it is definitely worth looking at. the battery life will probably poor compared to a laptop with weaker specs but that is just how it goes.

o lol it also had a mech screen,

you should get what @nerdslayer1 just mentioned.

the dell 7567 is an excellent laptop. only thing i'd disagree with is the 4k screen the pulls its battery life down.

otherwise if you want max performance, https://www.gentechpc.com/product-p/sager-np7850.htm

^ battery life is only 4 hours for normal tasks and you absolutely need to choose liquid metal (good thing it's free right now).

tl;dr 7567 for battery, n850hp6 for performance.
