i5 7600k Ram

Hello. I have a simple question. If i were to purchase a i5 7600k, would i be able to use 4 sticks of 4gbs of ram? They are from different brands but i am unsure if that makes a difference. Thanks

i5 7600k is not a good purchase, I know this ain't what you're asking (yes you can get 4x4gb with it) but if you'd like I could advise a better value for money processor based on your needs, especially with Coffee Lake being just around the corner.

Basically exactly what he said.

7600K is a bad buy, Ryzen 1600 or coffee lake is much better.

but you can use 4x4 RAM, doesn't matter which manufacturer.

 

OC'ing that RAM might be tricky though.

What is your motherboard? you want a gaming rig? if its a locked board this is quite dead simple, grab the i7 7700

either get a 7700 (K model is useless unless you have a Z board)

or buy a new motherboard and buy Ryzen.

Unfortunately, no... the i7 7700 will be as high as you can go, if you have the spare money you could go i7 7700k for the extra 300mhz but it is a 2~3fps difference while gaming only.
