spotify ad blocker for linux

Pretty simple what is a good spotify ad blocker for linux, in this case Lubuntu, I normally use EZ blocker, but that does not look like it will work on linux, and is windows only, but being new to linux I could be horribly wrong.

I know of one.  It's called: PAY THE DAMN FEE YOU CHEAP BASTARD!

 

It's only $3 a month if you split a family plan with 4 other people.

I'd rather use the app, as I prefer it, and it doesn't impact the CPU usage as much. I am using a N270 (dual core @ 1.6GHz) so that is a massive concern.

Meh, I use spotify as the laptop in question is the only one I own with a battery life longer than 2 mins, and it is only just powerful enough to run linux and no more. So yea I need an ad blocker so that I don't have to listen to the ads, as they impact CPU usage too much. Same reason on why I run an ad block on chrome on it, I need it for the laptop to be functional.

Thanks I will look into them, once my laptop starts working, god an atom N270 CPU is blisteringly fast, I mean it's so fast hat there is only a 1 second delay on pressing a key and it actually being typed, I mean what other computer can have such a fast response time

trying the adkiller, I saw that when I looked I just like many others didn't really see many people recommending any etc. so wasn't sure if it was any good or if it was a bit dodgy
