Recommended Posts

Hi guys! I need to measure min, avg and max fps is there any alternative to fraps ? For me personaly fraps is not working in mafia 3 because when i turn on fraps in this game it's randomly starts to freeze. So i need different software that will work for me? Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you have a nvidia GPU you can use shadowplay overlay and it will have a FPS option.

The other common one is MSI afterburner with Rivia.

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself

I think Shadowplay and Afterburner are not supporting that feature.

For example what i need is...

When i push on F11 button Fraps is creating his own 3 files with i can open with notepad and see the results after i tested the game.

1.FPS

2.frmaetimes

3.minmaxavg

I personally use Xsplit,  half of it really because it also is a streamer.  Has some limitations as a free user though like recording in 1080p will slap a small watermark at the corner, which i dont mind.

CAM has real time monitoring but not logged. Afterburner with RivaTuner is closest available. I haven't got RivaTuner installed so I can't check atm. Afterburner can do log files, so if RivaTuner supports average, thats best alternative.

PresentMon is a program developed by Intel which can capture min, max, average framerates on Direct X 12, Vulkan and you're usual games.

The only problem is that it's a Command Line Interface program which can be annoying to configure and/or use.

Overwolf has an FPS feature but looks like it does not have min/max feature you are looking for.
