Can I take the components of an old Laptop, put a graphics card and SSD in there to create a low-end gaming PC?

I've already built my own good gaming PC but now that I have my GTX 1070, the Radeon 7850 I was using as a placeholder has no more purpose. While clearing out my room I found my old i7 latitude e6530 laptop and thought if I could feasibly use a pcie converter and other such cables as well as a new case to create a new PC.

Anyone have any experience with this type of project or know any good sites or threads for it?

I don't think you can do it, although it is theoretically possible if your laptop had one of those dedicated but not soldered gpus that could be taken off for repair. But than again you would have a lot of other problems like powering the 7850 and so on.
