Intel still has the IPC crown with their unbeatable 7700K. I wonder how much more they'll crush Ryzen with the 8 series.

IPC is only one metric by which to judge a CPU, and there's no guarantee that the single core IPC will be much faster on CL than on KL.  Your comments are no more ridiculous than those who claim AMD is ripping Intel a new one with Ryzen.  Yes, Ryzen is a great competitor to Intel (once again, finally), but it doesn't mean that AMD is beating Intel.  The architecture in CL is not changing, just the core count, which may actually work against them (more cores at same speed = more heat).

Err serious? If you knew anything about IPC you'd know the 7700K is unbeatable as of now. No CPU can compete with amount of instructions the 7700K can crunch in a single thread. Surely your time invested in your research has told you that.

Ok. Clock a 7700k with 4c/4c compared to a 1700 at the same clock with 4c/4t. Tell me who wins there.

The 7700K will win. It has a 5-7% IPC advantage over the Zen arch, in instruction sets that aren't gimped or being bottlenecked on Ryzen.

It might be by a small margin, but the 7700K and 6700K can only be beat by Skylake-X in single thread tasks that benefit from SLX's cache restructure, if all else is the same. They're nigh unbeatable right now. That might change in a year or two, but that's not for a year or two.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.
